    It's just a shame that families do not know the value of quilts. That quilt is a treasure.

    wow, some people are just crazy and dont have any idea of the value of a hand sewn quilt. Better it landed in your hands!

    Sad but true, many people have no appreciation for handmade things ... I've been lucky to rescue some worthy antique & vintage quilts from yard sales. Also several times I just offered to buy them from people I saw "abusing" them for things like MOVING PADS, or put out in for the TRASH, and once from a guy who had a turn of century blue & white quilt thrown over his FLOWER BED during a freeze ! He didn't want it and was more than happy to sell it to me for $25. Had it appraised and it's worth at least $800. Enjoy your "new" quilt :)

    I had to do a double take, it looks so much like one my MIL made, then I looked to see where you was from, but in the end I seen hers on a bed in her house on the 18th. :wink:
