Scraps are never too small. I use the teeny ones for fabric postcards, small appliques, crumb blocks, and trashcan fabric, which is where you rescue the dinky pieces from your trash and iron them to wonder under or some kind of iron on fabric and then stitch them down and embellish with ribbons, laces, buttons, etc. You pay for it all, use as much as you can.

Strips of 3 inches or less are great for phone book quilts.

I keep the small stuff, just throw it all in a plastic bin and when I want to make a scrappy quit or a PP project with small pcs. I pull it out. It amazes me when I make an entire quilt of that stuff and don't even put a dent in it.

untill I joined this group I was not aware you could do some much with a little piece of material.. Now I save it ALL.... So many awesome ideas.

I save every single scrap unless it is way too narrow. If it's small, I still save it.

Crumb quilts are scrap quilts made with tiny pieces of fabric. If you like scrap quilts you'll like them. I think they are beautiful quilts and they use up fabric that may otherwise be pitched in the trash. This helps the earth and our wallets at the same time :)
