My bobbin winder on my machine broke and when I took it to the repair shop to get fixed he recommended a bobbin winder. Although I didn't like it at first, I have come to like it. I don't think it winds the bobbins as even as my sewing machine did.

I haven't read every post so don't know if someone mentioned this tip earlier.
I got a Sidewinder for Christmas but I have a Viking Sapphire 830. It didn't work on my bobbins, but that's because the thread unwinds the wrong way after being filled. I found if I put the bobbin in upside down, it winds the bobbin correctly and I can use the Sidewinder if I want to for my Viking.

I have one I seldom use, but when I do I fill lots of bobbins and put in my bobbin holder, usually the cream colored thread I use on my midarm quilter.
My biggest problem is I don't have a pernament place to put it so its in and out of the cabinet.
