Since the Pioneer BOM Idea thread is locked, I have to post this question here.

I wonder how many others are now doing more research online about pioneer quilt patterns? I found this one very interesting, and so are the links within it.

The locked BOM threads contain general information about the way we "play the game", lists of blocks already chosen, and the names of future pickers in each category. They're locked so that they remain short, to the point, and so the important information doesn't get lost in our conversations.

For each specific block selected, there are two threads.

The first is the "Directions and Discussions" thread. that's were the picker posts the directions or the link to free instructions somewhere on the internet. it's also the place to ask questions, make comments, or to otherwise [drum roll, please] discuss the block, the process of making it, etc.

The "Pictures" thread is supposed to contain just the photos/scans of the blocks we've made and comments about those specific achievements. (we wander a bit from that, but we can't help ourselves. )

Directions and Discussion regarding the Hole in the Barn Door are here:

My mom recovered from a broken foot using witch hazel on a tea towel to soak it with ... half an hour at a time. .. a few times a day. I have used it too and I can tell you it works. The drug store has it on the shelves next to the peroxide and alcohol.

Here's my block minus the pioneer fabric. This was a fun block to make.
