I know some people don't think you should quilt on Sundays, being a day of rest.......I love quiliting on Sundays

I finished this Stashbuster quilt top yesterday (Sunday LOL) It's all batiks but I have to get out for border fabric. A nice blue for a 1 1/2 inch border and then a deep brown for a 3 inch outer border. I'm calling it Land and Sea because of the colors.

Patty....I totally relate to this old wives tale. Growing up, my mother wouldn't let me sew on Sunday because it was a day of rest. She had no problem with making me do housework, cooking, or cleaning. I think it had something to do with her being superstitous...bad luck and all to sew on Sunday. By golly now I do what I want to do and if the Spirits aren't happy...sew what?
By the way, that's a beautiful quilt...bet you couldn't have done a better job on it any other day of the week. lol.

    Hi Patti,
Your quilt is so pretty. I just love the colors that you have put together. I can't wait to see it when you have your borders on. Thank you for sharing with all of us!! :D

I find Sundays are a great day to quilt. I watch football and I get so much done during the course of a 3 hour game. Funny, I wouldn't have considered quilting to be "work" so I would not have included it with the 'day of rest.' To me quilting is relaxing and a great creative outlet. Without it, I think I would go a bit loony!
