I finally got the quilt top done yesterday. I hand dyed the material for the binding but that's a long way down the road.

    I measured it and it's 96 x 102.

This is gorgeous! I love all of the blue colors you've used. I love looking at this, it has a calming effect. You did an excellent job. Have you decided how you are going to quilt it, yet?

That is great work. I saw a Carpenter's Wheel quilt in a quilt store but it was one big design. I haven't stopped thinking about it ever since. That must have taken you "forever".

    Thanks for the compliments.

I'm thinking of doing outline stitching everywhere. (Yeah, like I expect to get that done this decade). The original pattern had large meandering but I didn't think that showed the quilt off.

Once I got all the half square triangles done, it didn't take all that long (probably about 25 hours) to get the rest of the quilt done - including all of the wheels.

That quilt is just beautiful. I can tell that a lot of love and labor went into making it. I really love the way it came together. I have the perfect place for it so if you want to part with it I'll be more than happy to take it off of your hands. Just say the word and I'll send you my address :D :-) :) You did a wonderful job and thanks for sharing.
