    Yeah, but that's more than just quilting fabric.
    Velvet, bridal stuff, silks, wools, sewing patterns,etc.
    So that would be unfair to compare it to an LQS.

    The place is a dump, but that's how she manages to keep those prices low. Think 1960's supermarket - fake wood paneling, cracked tile/linoleum floor. Formica counter tops. It's clean but has not been updated since ...ever. :-)

    And when I was there it was the only remaining store from a mall that was being torn down.

    But it's a blast of an experience. Very, very, very helpful employees. Very!!

    But it's not all quilting fabrics. Mary Jo's has all types of fabrics and supplies.

    well since Fabric Depot is 1 1/2 acres...
    beats out the others at 65,340 sq. feet...lol

    I have heard there is a 5 or 6 story fabric place in San Francisco...but never got there when I was in the area.

    I have a Russian friend that goes there once year, and buys bolts and bolts of fabric....she and her family make all of their own clothing, draperies, etc. etc. But she doesn't quilt! She says they have great prices.
