If you can only visit one, make it this one! We drive from New Smyrna Beach because they have EVERYTHING! Also lots of sale fabric on the back wall. Lots of kits. It is the best I've found anywhere.

I just went to one in Ormond Beach which is really close to Daytona Beach. It was Byrd's Nest Quilt Shop! You can google it to get the address. They have 2 shops.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I was only able to visit one quilt shop (amazing how fast time flies on vacation!) from all of your recommendations...The Quilt Place, in Rockledge, FL. It was FABULOUS! If you are ever anywhere near this shop, make it a point to visit; you will not be disappointed.

The staff was readily available when assistance was needed, but not overbearing. I walked around with my camera, after getting permission to take pictures, like a kid in a candy shop. (Maybe one of these days I'll post pictures, but don't hold your breath...digital images live long lives in my camera!)

Fabric selection was phenomenal. So many different categories and colors. Cotton, wool, batiks, oilcloth, fat quarters, collections, designers, bargain fabrics and kits...oh my!

There were many patterns to look through, too. Unfortunately, the only one I wanted was out of stock. No worries, though, because they have a website I plan on utilizing to order the pattern.

Notions upon notions and gifts left me wishing I had more time and money to spend!

Oh, and the services they offer - not much need to go anywhere else if you live nearby. Classes and quilting and blocks of the month are some of the offerings.

Here's hoping more quilters find their way to The Quilt Place, either by land or by Internet! www.thequiltplace.com
