I brought one of the baby quilts i made in to show my co workers and they asked me if i bought the blocks and just sewed them together. (They were pinwheels) When i said no, i cut everything and sewed it myself, they looked at me like I was growing a second nose or something! So... I know what you mean! LOL

A dear, dear uncle used to say the same thing about my aunt who was a life-long quilter. We all knew he was proud of her quilting and made those comments in jest. Now that my uncle has passed away, just hearing those words makes my heart well up with many loving thoughts. If someone said those words to me I would know that they loved me a lot and was proud of me!

My husband does wood working, so he understands my creativity. We just love making things.

Reminds me of the story about the husband who expressed his amazement to his wife that she'd buy big pieces of fabric, cut them into little pieces, and sew them back into a big piece. It made no sense to him.

Huh, did it every occur to him that maybe us quilters are the sane ones and everyone else is crazy? Well, it sounds good to me, but that may be becasue I'm crazy...LOL! If making quilts means we're crazy, I can't think of a better bunch I would rather be a part of!
