I was at a Amish Quilt Auction....Where do they get the patterns for the applique quilts they make. Looking for the peacock or country rose, country heart... looked on line and can't find.

The often have their own designs ... though many still get them from the same sources as you and I would. Good Luck in your search!

I have this book, The Country Love Quit, by Cheryl A. Benner and Rachel T. Pellman. It was a give-away book on a table at our guild meeting. If you want it, you may have it for the cost of shipping. It looks like it has never been used. It has 192 pages.

It has two quilt patterns, The Country Love Quilt and The Country Bouquet Quilt. Send me a Private Message if you would like it. :D

I bought quite a few of the Amish patterns, in book form, at the Museum/shop in Intercourse. I also went to that auction, the same day that they had had a cattle auction in the morning----the smell was not too great LOL but we enjoyed the auction.
    Good luck, Kutnso

At one time The Stencil Co made stencils for one or two of the "Country" series of quilts from the book. I don't know if they still have them available. It made marking and cutting the shapes easier.

There were (are) two books in the series. Country Love and Country Bouquet. These books may still be available on Amazon. I may still have them.

Aren't those quilts beautiful? Ihave seen this book at The Country Store in Amish country PA. You might also find it on Amazon.com. Buy just about all of my quilting books thru them.
