    My grandmother used to make quilts like this. I think of her all the time while I am sewing on my computerized Bernina machine. She would be so amazed at how applique is done today. She was very talented and I learned a lot from her.

    may I ask where you found the pattern, I have been looking for it for some time and was shocked to be on here the first day as a newby and locate someone making it.
