Just got a new kindle and was thinking how can I use it in my quilting. Hopefully to make it easier. I know it could read stories to me but anything else. Anybody an e-reader user?

I haven't seen any books on quilting yet for kindle. I have a kindle also and love it. You can also play games on it and I have been playing Slingo on mine. If you set it to read to you, besure to check the battery if you fall alseep. I did that one night and fell alseep and the thing read the whole book and I had to recharge the battery as I got a box on the screen telling my my battery was low. Any way, I do hope some one comes out with some quilting for kindle. That way if you found a pattern you like and it has the yardages on it then you could take it to the fabric store and look on your kindle instead of writing down what you need for the quilt. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay

There are a few books on Amazon and I thought of buying on but then I realised of course that I wouldn't get to see the beautiful colours.

Yes, they have some. However, all the pictures are black and white.

    However, what you can do:
If you have quilting patterns that are saved as a PDF file on your computer, you can also save these to your Kindle.

(I know, you still don't get the color) But, if you take your kindle with pattern on it to the fabric store, you can know how much of each fabric to buy and you don't have to stuff the pattern in your purse.

I wish Kindle had come out with color. I have all my Kindle books also on my computer and IPhone. At least on the computer and Iphone I can see colors. It's actually quite nice, but with quilting books, I want a book in my hand not a screen.

I would also like to know about quilting ebooks. My DH bought me a nook color for my birthday and will be very interested to see what others have found.
