those with the colored backgrounds seems to pop out more. took me a minute to figure out the pattern. try a block with mid tones and dark tones together to see if its any easier to pick out the pattern.

I love the fabrics and think they all work well together. I don't even own any solids - to me, they look like they don't belong.

The only thing I'd change is that I'd try moving the darkest blue and the darkest pink so that they aren't right next to each other.

    Hope we see more!

I agree with the need for more contrast. The prints are fine and go well together, but if you had more contrast each individual "card" would pop and be immediately visible.

You've selected really beautiful fabrics, however, I'm having trouble identifying the pattern due to the lack of color contract. Idea: This could almost be a "crazy quilt block" in light color. If you make several in light fabrics like this one and several in dark fabrics then lay them out in a light and dark pattern, you could end up with a fabulous quilt.

I think it is very well put together but too busy. Needs some solid colors.

There is only one rule I have heard about. Do you like it? As you can see we all have different opinions and all are correct. I like it. I'll bet the baby won't care. IMO
