im simply an animal person, have 9 dogs (all neutered, all strays we found wandering near our property - we live in the country), 9 cats (ditto, dogs), feed the squirrels, birds, hummers, deer, rabbits mice etc anything that happens by - I always share, its not my earth or universe, it belongs to all of us -
Im not a vegan, wish I could have that much will power but do eat some meats. we dont hunt, though I came from a hunting /fishing family - as the guys aged they gave up the hunting, but when I was a kid my dad hunted to put meat on the table, and he raised us to understand you dont kill it unless you are planning on eating it (except for rats, which he said we could shoot at will)
I do fish, but I only catch as much as I can make us for a meal and I never let a fish flop around gasping, its a hard knock to the head and into the creel. We had fresh fried fish for supper last sat nite - so fresh they dont even taste like fish, I call them sunfish up north, but in the south I think they call them red spots? sharet

Well, I have both and love them equally, so I guess i'm either the greatest qualities of both or just a hopeless mess.

For many years we were strictly CAT persons (persian Show cats, but 2 years ago in out area there was a puppy mill that got raided and they had over 1200, yorkies, chiwawa's poodles, shitzu's, maltese and a new "designer dog" called a shipoo, a crossbreed of Mini Poodle and Shitzu. So were down at our LQS and there was a pet store and of course in the window, there he was. The cutest little ball of fur you ever saw.
To make a long story short he came home with us.
Here are pictures of our babies.
    The dog is Bentley
The White persian is Fredrick and the Shaded Silver Persian is our oldest Sir Angus Macraken.
So now we are a Cog or a Dat family. LOL

You know I do like both but am more allergic to cats so we now only have a dog.. And, You know dogs do drool.. I laughed out loud at reading that. I never had a dog that drooled like our yellow lab does. He gets away with it though. Its his house too.

Two cats here. They take care of themselves if we are away for a few days if they have an endless supply of food and water and of course the litter pan.

I love both dogs and cats. I had dogs in the past, a germen shepherd, can terrier and the last was a cock-a-poo I had for thirteen years. At present, I have Kitty, who I just love so much.
