Both but my husband hates cats so can't have one. If I had my way I'd have a couple of each. Dogs, cats, birds. And probably a few chickens. Men >?<x^# and so on.

Dog. At one time I loved cats too, but now that we have small dogs, they are my preference. We have poodles and yorkie/poodle. They do not shed and they do not jump up on the tables or counters. Plus they love you no matter what. Cats are lots more selective. I love the unconditional love of a dog.
