I have no neutrals or whites in my stash. I'm with you - always going for the yummy material!

I have some, okay maybe 3 pieces(one of which might be 2 yards), of neutrals but I tend to use solids or solid-look fabrics as neutrals. Yes, I was the child who almost failed art because I didn't have a clue how the color wheel went together. I love the "Look at me!!" fabrics which is reflected in my stash.

My "NEW rule is if I find a print I like- I can't[shouldn't] buy it unless I find the right coordinating fabrics So far its worked half of the time :-)

I do the same thing. I bought five yards of six different neutrals at the end of the year and am so glad I did as it has saved me in all projects since then. I also bought some basic sashing solids and that has been a project saver as well. When I go to the fabric store, or online, it is the colors and prints that make my little heart beat faster.

I usually pick them up at JoAnn's red tag 1/2 price sale. Or if I get too short, a whole bolt at 40 - 50% off.

I try to buy them when I find them. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be alot of choices out there locally.
