Awesome Welcome from everyone!
Thank you all for great tips...any particular size safety pins?
Probably a silly question but what the heck, may as well ask.
Do you all think the extra loft batting is ok to use...kinda wanted it comfy :)

BTW, Chigger Holler, unbelievable as it seems to me, I typed in location and no one appears on board :(

But again thank you everyone for your well wishes!!!

Not sure what size they are.:) I believe they said they were quilters saftey pins, when I bought them but that's been years ago. They have a little bent in them so they aren't regular safety pins. I went ahead and measured them they were one inch long. :)

Hi Kathy, welcome from northern California! I can't be much help because I am too new to quilting, but I am sure many others will be able to guide you. Exciting news waiting for the new baby! Keep us posted.

Hello and Welcome to the board :D:D:D

I agree with either taping the backing down so it is taut, but not stretched first. You can also pin it to your carpet instead of taping it down :D

I use regular large safety pins, but you can buy ones made specially for quilting either online or at your LQS.

Welcome from Mississippi! Congrats on new baby! Better hurry with that quilt! I haven't made a quilt yet so can't be of much help.
