    When I saw the title I thought you meant a quilt that was tied, not made of ties. It's just beautiful. I saw several women wearing long skirts made of ties at a recent quilt show - those were gorgeous too.

    This quilt is beautiful. My brother in law dies 15 years ago and his wife still has his ties. But, she only has 50 or so. I have ordered the book, but I was just wondering how big each block is and do you think you could use the big end of the tie as well for the fans. Thanks

    Yes you could use the big end of the tie. I believe you wouldn't need as many ties if you did that.

    please give me the pattern I've been searching every where for a tie pattern and this by far beats them all

    The pattern is actually grandmothers fan. I saw this pattern in a book "Quick quilts from the heart" by Fons and Porter. I just used the ties instead of the cotton fabric. Glad you like it. I am making another one now from the men's ties in our Church. It will be auctioned off at our fall festival in October.
