I will quilt smaller stuff , but anything larger than a lap quilt goes to a Long arm Pro. I just can not deal with all the stuffing and cramming and stress trying to shove a big quilt through the regular machine I have. Sending it to a Long Arm pro is the best gift I can give myself.

Anything larger than a single bed size I send it out. I have a group of women who hand quilt my quilts for me. They do such a beautiful job.

I quilt mine on my domestic machine. I don't know if I'll ever get good enough to do the fancy things I'd like to do but it's good enough for those I give them to. Biggest I've done is an almost king.

    Hi!
I have always quilted my own, but now I am making a queen quilt and will not be able to do the final quilting myself for a variety of reasons. Please let me know where I can get the list you spoke of about people who do quilting for finishing a top.
    Thanks, Flo

I send mine out to be quilted. The girl that does mine always gets them done within the time frame that I need them done in. She always has a waiting list so if I am needing something done by a certain time I always call her ahead of time and ask her to same me some time at a certain time and she does. She is very good and very reasonable. A lot of her charges depend on the quilt and amount of quilting done.

I have always done my own. was doing only small baby size and lap size. but have now have progress onward....just purchase a Flynn frame, have it set up in my upstairs hallway. did my first project(table runner) on it just a couple of days ago. Very pleased with the results. Am going to progress slowly in size. Have a twin size sitting and waiting. the whole fun of doing these quilts is the final quilting....I will never be able to match the consistant quality of a FA but this is a craft and I am happy with the finished products and put a label and sign every one.

I quilt mine on my brother 1500d. I don't really enjoy the quilting process. Would much rather just piece them, but I can't afford to send them to a LA. I know people who spend between $100 and $300 to get LA done.
