The first one is not RWB but I think it fits the holiday. I just finished the top tonight for a great lady that helped me out during my DH's deployment to Afganistan. Her hubby is also a Marine. I hope to get it finished to give to her on Wednesday. The second is my first real quilt made during a quilting class.

Love both quilts and I know your friend will cherish the first quilt. I know it was over 40 years ago, but I had wonderful friends who were very supportive during my husband's year tour in Viet Nam. My family also helped me through the tough times and were patient with me during the bumps and valleys. I pray for all our troops and their families who are deployed across the world and that they come home safely. God bless America.

Well, mine isn't all red, white and blue, but it is my patriotic wall hanging/table topper. It is on the table this weekend for Independence day.
It's machine appliqued and sewn, and I quilted it on my longarm. It was my own design except the elephant applique pattern is from Jeanna Kimball.
