do I need for a queen size turning twenty? I don't have my book with me and I may be able to go to a new (to me) shop on Thursday.

When I did a Turning Twenty, each blocked ended up 16.5" x 16.5" (unfinished) times 20 blocks... so it was 64.5" x 80.5" (if my math (and memory) is right). Hope that helps

Have only looked at the pattern and don't have one handy, but since each block finishes at 16", you'll need either 20 or 30 fat quarters, depending on how much of a border you want to do:

If you do 20 fat quarters, you'll have a center measuring 4 x 5 blocks or 64" x 80" plus whatever border you decided to get to queen size.

If you do 20 fat quarters, you'll have a center measuring 5 x 6 blocks or 80" x 96" plus whatever border you decided to get to queen size.

    So your choice!

    My book says:

    Requirements for 70.5" x 86.5" quilt
    20 assorted 18" x 22" fat quarters
2/3 yard for binding cut (9) 2.5" width of fabric
5 1/4 yards for backing cut (2) 94" width of fabric

    Requirements for 82.5" x 98.5" quilt
    20 assorted 18" x 22" fat quarters
2.5 yards for borders and binding
    6 yards for backing

Let me know if you need the instructions, I will type and email you. Have fun!
