Sherryl, I am having the Devil's own time trying to make the block. I do paper piecing, but can't quite figure out the angles of your star. I'll keep at it, but not sure I cang get it right. I'm so sorry.

This has nothing to do with quilting I just saw your avatar of your Saint and love it I have two male Saints of my own they are brothers and their names are Mozart and Chopan.
    Thanks Cathy from Calgary Canada

I'm outside looking in here as I did'nt request the pattern. I didnt realize that when everyone was posting pic's of CQ blocks they were a swap. Very cool idea.

I have my block ready to send. Forgot about it and found it buried in fabric yesterday. Will mail on Monday.

This is how I understood it also. I had never done any paper piecing so was releaved to read that in the e-mail. I was able to finish a decent block and send it to candlequilter. But if I had put it off in fear or just couldn't get it right I felt I could send her a block of my choice instead.

That is what she wrote in the email to me when she sent the block. If you can't complete the block for whatever reason, she will take a block of your choice!!!!

No excuse. Thanks for the friendly reminder. Just hope I am able to do it. Have a full schedule the next week, so you probably will not receive the block until the last week of July. It is really a beautiful block. I am challenged to do it since I have read of the problems others have had.

I too gave up on the block, after trying several times to make it. I followed your instructions and it just would not come out. I too would be willing to send the pattern back to you.

I'm SO sorry, I have quite a sob story why my block isn't finished--a VERY ill dear friend; another in hospital with broken leg while getting a new knee; SIL's parents in terrible head-on accident, her Mom is gone and Dad barely hanging on; our business has been given notice to move after 32 years and we're still scrambling to find a new location we can afford. But as it won't get the block done any faster I'll just hope that you'll accept my abject apologies
