This is ugly

Well, you asked our two cents. You really only have to please yourself, but if you don't like yellow, my bet is you don't like this.
I like yellow a lot, but this doesnt seem bright enough for this quilt. Lots of brights in the strings and then the pastel yellow--I don't know. I'd pull it apart and use a darker bolder color-- a deep jewel toned cobalt blue or forest green or deep aubergine purple.

Add me to the list of people who like it! Of course, I'm a little partial to yellow myself, so maybe that's why. I would probably try a second, larger border in a darker shade to tone it down if you feel that needs to be done. No way would I rip it apart!

I deffently don't think that it is ugly at all. The yellow deffently sets the block off nicely. It really brings everything together. I think that a really pretty bright blue or red would look good as a border or as a binding. Nice job.

I think it's beautiful, but then yellow is my favorite color. If you want to tone it down a bit, maybe you could add a border of a darker print, something with several colors but of darker shades, and I'd make it wider than the yellow strips. Maybe that would make it more appealing to you.
