    I got my hands on something for free. Can someone help me the model #. serial plate says am005476 above it is 15-. :!: :!: I tried to look it up. I found class 15-
    Made Feb,24.1955. Am I correct? :)

    Congratulations on machine, you will love it. I got my 4th vintage singer today, a 99k made same month and year as yours. I use all my vintage machines, they sew much better than my newer ones.

    Sounds like yours is a 15-??. Can you post a pic? One of the best is a 15-91.

    mine needs some cleaning and spool holder as far asI can tell.

    how do you tell it's a 15-91? Don't have a way to post a picture.

    Nope your machine is not a 99. 99's are stubbier than the 15's. Yours is probably a 15-91 (I'm no expert) Check out this website: http://www.sandman-collectibles.com/...r-machines.htm . There will be step by step instructions to identify your specific machine. You definitely have a 15 but which model of 15 is the question. They are great machines--I have 2!

    Wow!!! A 15-91 for FREE???? I like my 15-91! Still getting used to it but enjoyinging it a lot!!! Need walking foot tho!!
