lalaland that is a great idea for the rubber cabinet liner. I use that so much for other things around the house including in my cupboards and also under some rugs in the kitchen. Great Tip for under the sewing machines.Thanks!

My son made a tilted platform that I saw a fellow guild member use--it is 2.5" in the back and .5" in front, has a lip on the front to keep the machine in place and is wide enough that I can also put my magnetic pin plate on the end and it really does help with neck/back problems. Mine doesn't slide. I use it with my "to go" machine (read cheap lightweight) and don't do any quilting on it (just piecing). But love having it tilted.

I do and I love it. I use the rubber door stops you can get at the dollar store. they come in two sizes. I bought two pair, one for my machine at home and one set in my rolling machine bag for classes.

I tried one of those table lifters made just for this purpose. Unfortunately, for me, the angle made it difficult to see the presser foot correctly. :(

I use the rubber door stops under mine they do not slip around and work great. They are the ones you use to prop a door open with.

I ordered Debbie Umphree's Machine Lifter prob in 2009 & still use it. Saves my back & shoulders, esp when I do alterations on Heavy Blue Jeans. At $26 it's a great invention Deb. Thanks again & thank your husband for making them.

I tilt my machine with 3 round rubber stoppers used to protect your floor from furniture indentions. I placed them at the back of the machine and it tilts towards me. I'm short so it helps me see better and it is stable, too. These would not be as high as the door stoppers though.
