Your opinion of Janome Memory Craft 6600 P

I've had my 6600 P for a couple of years and love it especially the needle up/down. I don't use the Accufeed as often as I'd like to because I haven't figured out how to keep an accurate 1/4 inch with it --I prefer to use the 1/4 inch foot. Haven't tried FMQ yet but did purchase the special bobbin case in order to do FMQ. Info from board members said one would avoid problems using the special bobbin.

I loved my 6600P, and then I traded for the Horizon. With the exception of the larger harp, the 6600P was just as good as the Horizon. Yes, get the FMQ bobbin case and you will have fewer tension problems. Good luck!

I love mine so much, I purchase another one that the dealer sold to me discounted used. It was two weeks old, the lady decided on the 7700 instead. Full Warranty...just a much lower price...I keep one at home and one at cabin.
I am happy with being able to see what I am sewing with the Accufeed system, rather than the clunky walking foot.
I love the thread cutter. No threads on my quilt and no threads on the floor and me. I purchased the FMQ blue dot bobbin, took the machine to a FMQ class...first time to use it, and from the time I put my foot on the pedal, NO PROBLEMS at all...the tension was perfect and my stippling was beautiful....couldn't believe it. I just didn't think I could do FMQ. I would not trade this machine for anything. I also purchased the 3160 Janome for classes. It weighs 12 lbs. and has the auto thread cutter.

I've had my 6600p for 6 years. I use it daily and LOVE it. No problems at all. The only times that I've it in for service was for general check up and maintenace. I use the duel feed system with the 1/4" foot for bindings and such.

I have had one for several years. My hubby had bought it for me before he passed away. I struggled with it to do free motion quilting and even got the second bobin holder. I found out the dealer it was bought from was to be of no help at all. Even found out that the machine was a demonstrator but sold it as a new one. I later bought a Juki TL98Q and use it all the time for piecing and FMQ and love it. I am happy for those who have had good luck with their Janome but I can't say the same.....biggest problem is the tension and the paint they used is not very durable for a machine that should be used all the time.

i would never sell or trade here..would love the bigger harp on the 7700..but i am happy with what i have.
