    oldcatlady said it beautifully..........I think certain prints or styles are more popular in certain areas and the manufacturer's take that into account so even if it's the same company the fabrics would/might be different. That's what I was thinking when I first saw the swap. When I went to a quilt shop in the west there were TONS of southwest fabric that I don't see in my area. I bet the same is true for the new england area when it comes to the ocean/beach prints. I could not find any here. So I think just sending in material you find locally is great and if it has to do with whatever is popular in your neck of the woods that's even better. Just have FUN!

    Also - just to step outside of the box is nice. I like particular fabric and buy mostly that type of fabric- but to recieve something completley different will be such fun...you know?

    Hi Rhona, If you click on The words community benefactor it will take you to a page that explains it.

    hi carsey thanks for the invite i have no idea how this is done or what the expectations are if any or if there is a difference in fq sizes or what fabrics are to be sent, if its just what i like and who they are sent to as well do we just pick someone some information would be excellent would appreciate all the information i can get. so help would wbe awesome

    I am going to make my own FQ"S, how should I cut them and what size? DO I leave the selavages on?

    I'd be interested & I'm in London. However, I have a question about postage: if I send a stamped self-addressed envelope, I don't think it will be valid in the US postal system. Anyone got any ideas?

    I would like to join in, but will have to find out what tracking mail we have that is not going to cost a fortune lving in the country you always pay extra.
