Marla - It's made by Lakewood House. Besides being beautiful, it's very nice quality as well.

Beautiful quilt. There is a man in my community who is a quilter and he has made quilts for his sisters, nieces and nephews and friends. He does beautiful work. There another fellow in a near by community who does longarm quilting. So you aren't alone in the quilting world.

The pattern is beautiful and the fabric is perfect. I might have to try one.

I can't wait to see that quilt done. I love the hydrangea fabric. I think those are my most favorite flowers.

The blocks will have a central square on point of the hydrangea print, with stars using the leafy and solid greens, blues, and yellows. The inner border and binding will be green, and the outer border will be the striped material. I got all the block pieces cut last night so am ready to start pieceing them together.

Love the fabrics your DW picked out they are stunning. I like the pattern too, cannot wait to see how you chose to put them together.
Quilting is mesmerizing isn't it? So creative, like painting with fabrics. There are so many beautiful fabrics available now I just love it too.

Here's an update on the progress so far. I finished piecing the body of the quilt top tonight (pic below). So now I'm ready to start on the borders tomorrow. The size of the top as shown below is about 43" x 54". With the borders and binding it will be about 58" x 70". I'm off to the LQS tomorrow to find some fabric to use for the backing. Since the larger outside border will be in the lavender stripped fabric, I'm thinking I'll do the backing in a light lavendar color fabric with some kind of small print on it.
