I recently did a Sew Simple Pineapple quilt that was only two colors. Light and dark, it was easy and looks great.

Yesterday I looked at two colour 12" blocks on quilters cache and found these easy to piece blocks: Baby Bunting, Blazing Arrows, Broken Dishes, Broken Sugar Bowl, Envelope Motif, Hourglass #4, Jacobs Ladder, Pieced Star, Ruins of Jericho, Solitaire, Solomons Star, Star Puzzle, State of Arizona.
You might also want to check out the Missouri Puzzle block on the same sight. It is a 14" or 15" block.
    Good luck.
Will look forward to seeing what you chose.

When I find the right two fabrics, this is the one I'm going to make:

I like delectable mountains in two tone. The only thing is I would use a traditional layout for a large bed quilt but use the method as described on Bonnie Hunter's website.

    http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2005/...majesties.html

    More traditional layout-

Quilt in a Day has a good technique and book too. I have made them both ways.

The book has detailed information for all sizes of quilts and includes the special ruler you need for their technique.

Here is a website with all kinds of blocks. Just scroll down until you see the names of blocks. Take a look, and you will love it. I use it all the time.

I agree, do a Hunters Star search here and see some really pretty ones.
This is one I really like.
