    I've seen the white border but with alternating corner blocks that really make the colors pop - maybe even using
    both red and black corner blocks......

    I like the black, definitely!! And agree with the piping of red, would be really special.

    Definitely the black, it really makes the colors pop and creates a very dramatic effect.

    I vote Black. I am making a scrappy quilt too and find the darker borders really make the other colors pop better.
