I have inherited a Bernina 930. It seems to be in good condition, but I do not have the original casing. I own the machine w/cord and foot pedal.
I have never sewn a stitch in my life, and wouldn't even know where to begin if I wanted. It seems to be in good condition, but I haven't a clue how to even tell.
I was also given a Brother 929.

Welcome to the board, those older Berninas are still very much in demand, you may want to try and see if you enjoy sewing. You could get a lot of help from here, or take lessons. If you don't enjoy sewing, you'd definitely be able to sell them.

Welcome to the message board. If you have the sewing machine manual, you can get a good start on how to use the machine by reading it. There are lots of video tutorials on how to sew on Youtube or you can call you local quilt shops or Bernina dealer and find out if they have classes on how to use your machine. Have fun.
