    This is headed for being a beautiful quilt. Maybe bring in some gold somewhere and I like the idea of adding the escaped fish.

    I absolutely love the center and the colors. I might bring some color out to the border, the border doesnt seem to go with the center. As someone else mentioned, it needs quilting. I am always amazed how quilting makes a quilt "come alive", and have so much dimension. Maybe quilt in some kind of sea/ocean/water things to give it depth and movement. Just my humble opinion

    The quilt is definitely not ugly, but I think it could be improved. It's the border fabric that is throwing me off. I would use a border fabric with blues and purples to better match the fish panel. Also you might consider applique in the white triangles or quilting a fish design in colored (maybe purple)thread. It's a great quilt so be proud.
