I live rural and fabric stores are 60 to 100 miles so I do buy a little extra.

    Who? Me???

When I was younger, I think I had the idea that fabric would no longer be manufactured in the New Millenium - so I stocked up big time in the 1900s.

    I do. I'm guilty!
I have ran into a few patterns that the measurements were not correct so you have to add more after figuring out how much more you need.
I also do that because I live 40 miles from a decent fabric store and I really don't want to go back for it.
Also I like to get an extra quarter to 1 full yard for stash.

Isn't it wonderful how you can come up with so many projects to do while shopping then put your stash away along with your project idea? Mine usually stay stashed!

I always like to have some left over. I just love fabric.

I do!!! And if I think I can use a lot of it & can afford it, I have been known to buy a full bolt.

It is a heavenly day when it is cold out & you need fabric but do not want to get out soooooo you just raid your stash. Such a great feeling to make something that you had ALL of the stuff for.

An 80 yar old friend of mine, who hand quilts realized too late that the directions were incorrect in her 40 year old quilting book, and she didn't have enough fabric to make the queen size quilt that she promised her granddaugher. So I no longer feel guilty when I buy more fabric than I need.
