Yes, I hate to change them....it's a cost issue. I have a nick in the blade right now and it leaves one little string when I cut. I know it's a pain, but I'm too cheap to change it!

I'm a member of the club. I'm just one of those frugal people who feel like I need to get the most out of anything I spend my bucks on, even when it doesn't make sense.

I do that, too, and I bought 20 packs from Harbor Freight earlier this year. And a HF just opened in my little town in CT, so I have no reason to avoid changing blades. Just lazy, I guess.

Have a sharpener so don't need to change them quite so often. Just sharpen them.

guilty as charged, need to change mine now, didn't know about turning it over, I have cleaned and put a drop of oil on mine,,but cost of new ones is high, and many of us are on a limited budget.

I always do this before I change the blade. It does extend the life for a short time.
