Back clamping was only for old Singer 66s...mine is 1909 and is back clamping. The mounting screw is on the back of the bar.

Yeah, I am also now getting the e-mails, but I still have to log in everytime I try to come on board. I have checked the "remember me" box everytime?

There are some serious bugs and glitches. I keep getting logged out and it's so annoying to re-enter my info. over and over even when the remember me box is checked. I found out that my PM box has to basically be deleted manually as one of the buttons doesn't work and I'm still not receiving e-mails and notifications. Grrrrr....

Patience, everyone!!! As with any new software (games, e-mail, etc) this has a learning curve, and I am sure over time things will start to feel "normal" again!! Try to be positive and take some time to let the bugs work out....it's only been 2 days!! :"-)

Yes, I did that...whatever the reason I'm now getting notices and was able to get rid of enough junk in my mailboxes. Sorry, Miriam!

    Have photo's of my "new" vintages 2 featherweights, a 99 k and I think a Singer 20 --looks like a toy.
But, I can not post them here.
Surprised by attitudes of some that made these changes so easily when not all can do that.
Can't decide what to do now but want to say a big "Thank You" for all the vintage info.

Nancy - I have seen this same thing happen with other on-line boards I've participated on. For some reason the "remember me" box is there...but not functioning. So until I hear confirmation from someone that it is indeed functioning...I'm going to quit frustrating myself trying to use it.
