Default Girls Apron and American Doll Apron

I posted this yesterday and it went in to Chit Chat so I don't think anyone found it. I don't know about everyone else but I cannot even get in to the quilting board without going in and out of the forum.

My daughter wanted me to purchase a kit from American Girl Doll that was
supposed to have an apron for a girl and her doll. Well they do not have it
available any longer. Now my daughter wants me to make the aprons and
embroider my granddaughter's name on hers and the dolls name on the smaller
apron. I need suggestions on the best way to do this. The only fabric I have
available is white 200 count Bella Muslin but I don't know if it is heavy
enough. Also, the doll's name is Isabella--how am I going to get that on a
small apron? I would appreciate your input

Thanks for your suggestion but if the name goes on the apron it has to be Isabella. Audrey is my granddaughter's name so that should not be a problem. Still don't know if my fabric is heavy enough for aprons.

I made matching aprons for my daughters and their dolls. It's posted on my blog here. McCall's also has a new pattern that has several styles of doll aprons - M6451. Jo Ann Fabrics sells this kit for making matching aprons online. You can also buy a kit from American Girl, but it only includes iron ons for the girl size apron (it's not included in the kit). Hope something here will be helpful.
