Hmmm..... If people are interested in the topic, why shouldn't the thread still be going on? What I don't understand is why people grump about people who are posting on-topic to a thread. ???

Well, I was without my lap top for several weeks, so I'm just getting to know the new board. I miss the new topics page, where I could just click on "new topics" and read all different catagories at once from what was recently posted. I really miss reading someones off topic chat followed by someone elses picture to inspire me, then follow it up by meeting a new member or reading about someones quilting question. My main wish is to bring back the new topics page! Okay, I too have to say I miss the yellow background, so much easier on the eyes.

I see nothing wrong with this topic. Sometimes saying we are unhappy with something is more interesting and strikes closer to home than an attitude of being a Pollyanna and pretending everything is fine and just as it used to be. Of course we will adjust, but let us complain if we want to. Some of us have few who will listen to our complaints, and fewer still who have the same complaints.

Agree Prism. I also remembered this board being much more friendly. It's a shame some are slamming others. I certainly don't come here for that. Moderators can we address this please?

There are things many of don't like and are adjusting to. There are things many of us do like. This is not the thread where we post the things we do like. You shouldn't look for the positive things on this thread; they are on another thread. We aren't slamming each other, just trying to keep the treads straight. This is part of what keeps this board interesting.

By slamming I was referring to the comment made by someone :Complain to your little hearts desires ladies! Hope it makes you feel better. Sounded like a slam to me. To criticize us ladies for posting what we don't like about the board on a thread saying post what you don't like was completely unneccessary, and rude. I'm not very computer illiterate, so I did decide to post what I didn't like in hopes my dislike would be considered. I will not, however stay on this board if the rudeness continues, thats just not what I come here for.

Some one else may have already posted this but it takes too long to load on my slow dial up connection(there is hope of getting high speed internet where I live for a loooong time). Even going from page to page takes so long
that is why I did not read all the post to this thread.

Since it takes so long to load I do not come on the board as much as I used to.

Actually, I think most of us are on the same page (no pun intended!). The recent exception has decided to ignore this thread -- something that she would have been wise to have done earlier.
