We have a lot of deer here too. One ran into my husband and crushed the front quarter panel and hood almost $1k damage. The adjuster said if he had hit the front, the car would have been totaled. Glad no one was hurt!

Hitting deer around here is serious business and big business. Fortunately I have not had any deer wrecks. Hiopefully I will not although I have had two very close calls

You are very lucky that is all it did to your vehicle .. Glad you are safe.

When a trucker hits a deer, elk or moose-let's just say its time for either the DOW to come out or the truck is along side the road parked due to damage sustained from the confrontation.

I live in central Texas. I was driving through my friend's neighborhood (minding my own business) when a doe comes sailing over the hood of my van. Scared the living daylights outta me!

Yes , the deer whistles do work. My husband put them on my car and when the deer hear it they just turn around and go the other way.

Deer can hit your car. We have had two do just that. They will run right into the sides of your car.

Sorry to hear this, but I am glad you are o.k., I hit two deer in a matter of two and half years, it is not fun, both of them were bucks...my boyfreind is a hunter and he has not gotten a deer in three years and I got two....it wasn't funny at the time but it is pretty hysterical now...be careful out there...

Glad you weren't hurt. We have lots of deer here too and they sure can do a lot of damage.
