    I didn't use starch because I didn't want it stiff for folding. It is two layers of fabric sewn together around the edges then turned right side out so it's thick enough to stand on its own.

    There are 6 of these in the Gladiolus quilt block, not 4 like I thought.

    They are so pretty! If you use them in a quilt, how do you clean it? Would it be washable?

    If they were in a quilt it would probably be one that wouldn't be washed though I don't see why it couldn't be. There's nothing holding them in shape other than how it's folded and they are sewn down. The book has them as individual quilted blocks and wall hangings.

    It's cotton fabric with a smooth feel and metallic threads in it.
