    Default Schmetz 2 eye needle

Has anyone used the Schmetz 2 eye needle? I purchased a package, as I thought that
it sounded interesting--but one of the threads gets real loose and floppy. Don't know what I
am doing wrong, and how to remedy it. Hope someone can help. Thanks

Are you talking about the two needles (twin needle) that are side by side? If it's 2 eyes on one needle, than no I've never used them. Twin needles I have and your owners manual should tell you how to set up your threads for that.

Try making the thread on top going different directions. That seamed to work for me.

I tried having the thread going in different directions. Still no luck.

No tartan--It is a needle with 2 eyes. Supposed to make top stitching stand out more.

According to Schmetz, the threads should unwind in different directions, and thread in the normal direction. So if your needle normally threads left to right, it will still thread left to right for both threads.

I bought one but haven't given it a try yet. Glad you asked the question so I'll be prepared.

I bought some and had no luck getting them to work properly. Mechanic said they don't work in many machines. Mine is one of them. Viking Rose.
