If you ever make it to St. Cloud, MN, the shop you want is called Grubers. It is wonderful and the people are very friendly. If you are looking for fabric, (and who isn't?), there is a place in Brooklyn Park, Mn. that is quite overwhelming. The name is S.R. Harris and it is about 40 minutes from the Mpls./St. Paul airport. Bring an extra suitcase, lol.

There is a book that some quilt shops have that details where the shops are located....you might even be able to find it at a regular bookseller. Sorry, but I don't know the name, although someone on the Board probably will.

If you are in the beautifully Tampa Bay area, make sure you get to Rainbow's End in Dunedun. And you will be right by the beach also. Also agree with the SR Harris recommendation; the place is absolutely amazing.

I have said it before, and I will say it again.....Quilters are just nicer than your average person! Thank you ALL so much for your suggestions. I realize I can look in a phone book, and I also realize I could look on my android phone. I suppose I was looking for word of mouth more than anything, and I sure do appreciate those who voiced their favorites! THANKS!

Hey Kevin! I am in Chicagoland too and the ones mentioned are great.

If you get to Minneapolis, Glad Creations is nice and the Blue Bamboo is a real trip--online warehouse open to the public. Lollies in Shipshewanna is awesome.

My quilting GF doesnt fly so I dont get out of the WI/IL/IA/IN area too much. Been to some stores in San Antonio.

Pensacola Florida. A & E Fabrics, 923 North New Warrington Road.....One word AWESOME!
One small area of the store is a pharmacy. Don't let that make you think it isn't a great fabric store. They will honor 40% off coupons from JoAnn's
