Has anyone been to Hayloft lately?

I live nearby, and have been in every week since the clearance sale started. As of last week, I would estimate that they were down to about 20% of their former inventory. Since another week, and another weekend, have passed, I doubt that they have much left. They are NOT moving downstairs. They will be finished by the 7th.

Hi psumom! I have recently joined this blog/chat quilting board because today I heard from another Quilter that hayloft fabrics closed. I am quite heart broken. I would travel from Pittsburgh just to go through their scrap bins. The ladies knew me well as the Pittsburgh lady who buys scraps. Anyway, as I relayed the information to my mom, I knew instantly by her reaction that for Christmas, she bought me a gift card. A sizable one at that. I am trying to locate any contact info for the owner(s) or former workers at the shop to see 1. if they will re-open and/or 2. if I could get my money back for the gift card. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas!

Hi cw142d,
Did your mom buy this gift card before the close-out sale started? Or, online? I don't know about getting money back as the close-out sale took several months, and they advertised that gift cards should be redeemed. The only thing I could suggest, is that you contact the Martin's Country Market in Ephrata, PA. The Martin family was the former owner of the Hayloft and the grocery store downstairs. They are not re-opening the Morgantown store. In fact, another grocery store is in the process of moving in. Here is their info: Martin's Country Market, 1717 W Main St, Ephrata, PA. Tel: 717-738-3754. Good luck, and please let us know what happens.

Hi. Thank you so very much for the information. My mom bought the gift card in June. I will contact them this week to see what happens. Again thank you so very much for your help. It's not so much me, but my mom was disappointed. Thanks again. Merry Christmas!

I was so devistated when I took a drive up To Hayloft and discovered they were closed. I absolutely loved this place. NO one in the existing store could supply me with any information on if they moved somewhere else. Someone told me they had another store in Lancaster, anyone know about this? That little furniture store to the right as you entered turned into a second hand shop. It's all a disaster! Even the store where I picked up some homemade items is like a truck wreck salvage food store. I'm so disappointed. I drove up to Kutztown to the Wooden Bridge DryGoods store where they have a lot of beautiful fabric run by a Mennonite family. They are nice!
