What a clever idea to put your state bird on the quilt like you did!

Donna, Adorable. Did you hand paint the center? It's very pretty.

Here is the doll quilt I received from JuanitaBean from Bakersfield, CA. Didn't she do a great job of representing her city? I just love this. She was very clever in the way she used her zig zag stitch for the details. I especially like the way she did the cross hatching on the oil derrick. Very cute. Juanita asked me to post this for her. I'll be sending my quilt to her next week, hopefully, and will post a picture of it then. Thank you JuanitaBean for this sweet quilt.

I think that is so neat!! I like the border print, it somehow sets off the whole scene. What a bright sunny day with beautiful clouds. Great job!

Fabulous! I love all the texture the stitching brings to your piece. I love it.

They are just gorgeous! Mine is coming along. I'm paper piecing so it's taking a wee bit of time to finish!

hey, I'm paper piecing too. And maybe some applique too. I'm a busy bee today. I have to clean my neglected house and then "fun" get to go back to work on my mini quilt. It's begining to take shape. To early to tell if my vision is being realized yet. Thank goodness there's still time to change things if necessary. I'm guessing I should have been working on it last month too. (But it was christmas, I just couldn't stay focused.) But, never fear, I will be ready and mailed on time.

Hey Krystyna, Will Melissa be trying out the DQ swap next month? She's sounds like one busy young lady.
