    Default Velcro storage

Does anyone have a good idea to store velcro? I buy "hanks" at Joann's in different colors and have been keeping it in a ziploc bag, but it doesn't fit well and I am always losing the stupid bag! How do you store it?

How about a short curtain rod? You could hang it on the inside of a closet door and if your Velcro isn't on a roll you could use a cardboard roll from plastic wrap (they're stronger) cut down to the size of the Velcro.

I store mine in a plastic box (about shoe box size). I buy "hanks" as well as pre-packaged, and have a different box for each kind. I have a large peg board up in my sewing room, and use long "pegs" to make shelves to hold these (and other) boxes.

I put both hooks and loop together, roll it, smush it flat and put a ribbon or rubber band around it and store in a small storage box with other fastener items.

Velcro doesn't want to wrap around small tubes for me (it's too stiff) so I wrap it around something much larger (I use my arm like when I coil up an extension cord), then slide it off and tie a strip of fabric around the center so it looks like an 8. I can then hang the top loop over any kind of hook or rod. It's really easy to get at however much you need that way, too.

Mine I wrap into a circle and put in my drawer but on reading your question an idea came to me. I have been looking for ways to use my Betty Crocker frosting containers and I think I will roll my velcro to fit in them and snap on the lids.
