    Default The "Trash Quilt"

Here's a couple of photos of a quilt that I finished quilting the other day for my mother-in-law. She found the quilt top in the trash at a school that she worked out a few years ago and fished it out and saved it. She showed the quilt top to me a couple of years ago and I told her I'd quilt it for her. So, I finally did. I could tell by the weave of some of the fabrics that they're authentic feedsack material. So this quilt looks like classic 1930s.

As they say "One man's trash is another man's treasure." I think it's beautiful.

I am so glad she found it and saved it. It is a beautiful quilt that did not deserve to be thrown away.

One man's trash is anothers treasure. It's a great find. It came out beautifully after quilting. Perfection is overrated. Look how lovely it looks like quilted. Wonderful job on the quilting.
