[QUOTE=Chay;4909255]Same problems here. I can't use the design wall function of the software and even after spending a long time on the phone with tech support we couldn't get it to work. That was disappointing. I ended up doing a convoluted scheme involving Photoshop and it works but isn't great.

We finally got it to work today with Penny's help at Electric Quilt. Had to copy the my chart into documents...kind of have to go in the back door to get to the chart, but it is there and usable naw. YAY!

    Default I am behind already!

I love seeing all of the blocks. They are all wonderful and I come out here everyday hoping there will be more posted. Here are my Week 1 blocks. These three are for a Trip Around The World style using muslin.

Default Pics of 2nd set of Blocks - Week 1

I LOVE sandpat's Chocolate quilt and so I am making one like that also. Blocks for this quilt will have no muslin in them.

These type of situations make me want to hold onto our older computers forever. I want to be sure my favorite programs are still usable, including DJ and Quilted Diamonds. I wonder if these will ever be updated to a newer platform?

All of the blocks that everyone has posted are beautiful. I don't know how to post a picture. Maybe my daughter will be able to show me. When I saw the blocks that were posted by Mim it reminded that I wanted everyone to make sure your melons don't run into your seam line. I have done several blocks with melons and I am going to have to do them all over because I did'nt think about being careful not to go out too far. I had cut my blocks a little larger than needed to be due to applique can take up some of the material. Just a FYI. Mim I love your blue blocks.

Wow! I am glad we don't have to pick a favorite as everyone has BEAUTIFUL blocks...and the stitching looks awesome... I am concerned that I have signed up for something way out of my league... I don't even understand the computer talk and feel a bit overwhelmed...Maybe tomorrow I can get caught up on my Just Takes 2 and open my DJ software....and TRY to see what I can accomplish....if too much, I can always get a little more experience under my belt and come back to it....right? But ALL your blocks look awesome!!

I read that Jane did not use the same fabric in 2 blocks. All 277 (if you count the plain fabric triangles) blocks are in different fabrics.
Is anyone here using different fabric for each block?

I am trying to use totally different fabrics in my "practice block" quilt. My "real" quilt will have repeats.

I am trying to use all different fabrics, including the triangles. That was why I had to do a design wall with all the pieces of fabric, to be sure that I didn't duplicate one. And if I do, so what!! I am having fun with it, and look forward to each new block as a new adventure. Enjoy making your quilt and keep posting pictures, everyone.
