Above is my new room, looking in from the stairs leading down to the family room. He did the cut-out between the two rooms today. It's really starting to take shape!

Inside the room, looking at the closet and the corner shelves.

Inside, looking out into the family room. The wall to the left of the cut-out is where the kitchen cabinets will be,

The door to the laundry room has now been installed. It's next to the corner sheves.

From left to right: the cut-out between the two rooms; the door between the sewing and family rooms; and the framed opening where there will be a bi-fold door so I can get behind my furnace.

The carpet is coming next Monday, so I imagine most of the work will be done by then. My contractor was able to get the exact same carpet that my builder used when the house was built in 2007. This is awesome, as I was not expecting that he would be able to, and I thought it would be berber but perhaps a different colour or texture. I'm getting there!

You must be on a continual high with something new happening every week. I know I would be, just anticipating the finished product when I could get back to quilting.
