Mary Mo you need to share the LOVE!! not how good you think they are............. We may feel differently about your blocks then you do.................................... We all need to start somewhere in order to begin..........don't be a party pooper!!!! send your lovely blocks. Sometimes simple is better and is needed to help the wonky ones out.

Mary Mo please don't drop out of the swap..... We will love your blocks too..... Don't worry...... Each block is built with love and that love is passed on to whoever receives your blocks..... To me, the biggest part of the fun is figuring out just how to use the blocks in a project. The quilters are simply "encouraging" us by their postings. So, send your blocks, I would love to receive one of your blocks......

MaryMo, I don't just think it, but KNOW for a fact my blocks will not be as nice as the ones that have been posted so far but I'm still going to play There will always be someone who does something better or worse than any of us, it's the participation that is fun and think of the wonderful neighborhood quilt you are going to get out of it! I want one of your blocks so send them in! .

Thank you all for your words of encouragement. I can (and will) do this, just at my own level. I've made a couple of funky blocks, but they've turned out kind of wonky too ... just now what I planned. So now that that's settled, I'm off and working on new blocks.

Marymo your blocks will be great we are always are our worst critic. One time I brought a bunch of beads I made to get rid of I called them my bad beads because I thought they were terrible and within 2 minutes they were grabbed up people loved them so we may not think something we do is good but others think they are. And I would love to have you in my neighborhood. I divide them fairly so don't think you won't get one you really want I try to keep a tally of what people say they want and if it's possible I give them what they want.
Im glad your not dropping out.

Default Who wants a funky castle?

My friend gave me a yard of Woodrow of London fabric with tiny colorful squares, some gold. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to make something for the funky house swap. I am in the middle of making these 6 1/2 inch funky castle blocks. What do you think? Anyone want one? I am very happy with how they are turning out.

You are very smart to think of a castle. That fabric is just perfect for them. Great idea and great job!
