Ok, I had the SAME problem, but go to BUZZTOOLS.com and you will get the software you need from there. I have tried 3 other programs, like Winzip, and a couple of others and Buzztools is the ONLY one that makes life simple and you can transfer the things to your machine, THEN, put them in Buzz tools and open them and voila, they are there and you can write them to the PED and stick in the machine. Afew steps, but you have all the stuff now, you may as well use it.

Thanks so much for the tips! I'm going to try it tonight and I'll let you know if it works. I really appreciate the help! It gets discouraging after a long time of no answers and it not working. I hope this works!

I don't know. I'm not familiar with Hancock's. I live nowhere near any shops or stores of this sort. I'm sure if you pay them for lessons, they'd probably do it.
I have figured out mine pretty well. Just play with it a bit.

I think that is close to WM's regular price for the machine. They sell for a lot more at other places. They have them on ebay all the time. I think you can get one for around $300 or slightly more on there.

Yes, I have had this machine for a couple of years...almost 3 years really. I haven't done much with it but I want to learn. I don't find the book very helpful in learning all I want to know...but maybe someone will teach me. I did, howeve, buy the PED swoftware but haven't installed into computer yet. I bought mine on ebay for a total of $125. I hear its great. I just got a new computer ( laptop) for christmas and am going to instal PED today. Will let you know what I think. So, actually I was not much help but was letting you know I have the machine. I didn't know, however, when I bought the machine, that you can ONLY embroider in a 4"by 4" area. Unless you keep rehooping, ofoucrse. I was disappointed and am thinking about selling my machine and upgrading. I will go into a sewing center and "test-run" machines before I buy this time. Some also offer free classes when you buy a machine. I bought my SE 270 at walmart so, NO CLASSES. Well I hpe you get a lot of use out of your machine I am going to try.

PS...I have done some test embroidery with the SE 270 and if you use the correct stabilizer, it does a beautiful job. I just can't wait to try the PED and maybe create some of my own designs...if possible. They do sell a lot of designs on ebay and you can have them emailed to you and you download them from there or you can have a CD sent that you would use in the computer with the PED. The format we use is PES for this. Just to let you know.

I have been thinking about selling my Disney SE 270 and yur machine sounds great. I have always like singer brand sewing machines. I love the " plug-n-play" types of things as I am not very mechanically inclined. Sounds great!!!

I have been wondering the same thing....if I could bring my machine somewhere to learn. So far, viking village, in my area, and I think even JoAnn Fabrics only gives classes on the machines they sell. If its not This machine, they won't do it. I kind of regret buying the Disney SE 270. It seems so limited. I love the no pedal sewing though.
