P.S. Here's a link to the pattern. It's rated 3 out of 3 stars on the difficulty, but it wasn't hard at ALL. There's one seam where you have to "fold" the fabric in order to sew it, but it's simple. Not sure why they rated it as being difficult. I'll definitely be making this pattern again!

Thanks! We got a routine going, and it went pretty quickly. It's really just nine 12-1/2" blocks sewn together, with borders added.

We knew at least one person would take their fabric and turn it into a beauty! Excellent job Moonrise! Your quilt is fabulous! You and hubby make a great team.

Hello all and great jobs on the ugly fabric projects so far. My one day project came to a halt in the middle of the day when Hubby came home with a rototiller for the back yard. His project rated higher over mine..so everything (quilting) came to a halt and been helping out in the back yard. Havent seen anyone post the ugly fabric I sent... am so interested to see what becomes of it Hopefully tomorrow I can get out of the yard and back in my sewing room. Have a grand day.

Haven't got mine in the mail yet- I'm sure it's there today and is waiting for me. I just have to get home first. Then will definitely share the pic of my new ugly fabric.

Tada! My new fabric arrived on Saturday, I definitely got the better end of this deal ... now to find the perfect pattern. I forgot who sent this piece in, but she is from PA - the fabric and bag are upstairs, I'm down in the girl cave, so forgive me for not remembering, but I really like this fabric, it has some of my colors in it, so I have LOTS of things to go with it. Yay!!! And for whoever got my ugly piece of fabric, I'm REALLY sorry

I got my fabric too! And I am thrilled with it! No joke --- I love it! I have an affinity for striped fabrics--- I see possibilities with them that involve mitered corners. I've based three full size quilts around striped fabrics - my avatar pic is one of them. I actually have a small sign in my sewing room that says 'Give me more stripes"
So I squealed with delight when I opened my package.

I've been planning and plotting my quilt already with as much excitement as a school girl planning her prom.

Neither of those look too "ugly" to me! (I'll keep my yellow calico, though! LOL!)

Funny how we've all gotten something we actually liked ... so far anyway.

    Edit: Let's do this again!

that looks like the ugly fabric I sent in--i really didnt think it was all that ugly--just design challenged. I was thinking it looked like logs---will be looking forward to see what you do with it. Enjoy!
